There are five main conditional forms. These are:
The Zero Conditional
The First Conditional
The Second Conditional
The Third Conditional
Mixed Conditionals
Conditional sentences are formed of two parts:
An ‘If Clause’ and a ‘result clause’
If clause, | Result clause |
If it rains, | I’ll stay at home |
The structure can be reversed. In this case, do not use a comma.
Result clause. | If clause |
I’ll stay at home. | If it rains |
