How to use Be Used to
To be used to is not a tense it is an expression.
Look at this example:
Li is from China. He came to England one week ago. Everything is very strange, unfamiliar and uncomfortable. So we can say:
Li is not used to life in England.
Li is not used to living in England.
Now look at this example:
Pablo is from Argentina. He has lived in the UK for two years. At first everything in the UK was very strange. Now it is normal for Pablo. So we can say:
Pablo is used to life in England.
Pablo is used to living in England
To be used to has a similar meaning to be accustomed to.
We use ’be used to’ to say that something was strange and unfamiliar BUT now it is familiar.
How to Form Be used to
To be used to is:
The verb be + used to + gerund (v.ing) or The verb be + used to + noun
Are you used to living here? Are you used to the weather?
